Hello everyone,
On September 3, my personal Atlassian account associated with my Bitbucket Cloud username leogar07 was unexpectedly deactivated.
When I try to sign in, Atlassian says that the account has been deactivated and that I should have received an email explaining whom to contact. However, I never received any deactivation warning or explanation.
The Bitbucket repositories belonging to this account are actively used every day by several users. Since the deactivation:
I cannot access Bitbucket through the website.
Git operations fail with Permission denied (publickey).
Other repository members see a message saying that the repositories do not exist.
The unusual part is that the Atlassian password-recovery system still works:
I requested a password-reset email and received it.
I followed the link and changed the password successfully.
I received confirmation that the password was changed.
When I tried signing in with the new password, Atlassian still displayed the account-deactivated message.
I also received a Trello inactivity warning asking me to sign in before October 22, 2026. That deadline has not passed, and the message only mentions the future deletion of Trello data.
I have already submitted support requests through the available contact forms, but I have not received a response yet. I am posting this question from a different Atlassian account because the affected account cannot access the Community or Support.
Could an Atlassian team member please help escalate this to the appropriate Atlassian Account or Bitbucket Cloud team and confirm:
Whether the account is deactivated/suspended rather than permanently deleted.
Why it was deactivated without a warning email.
How I can verify ownership privately and have access restored.
Whether the repositories and workspace data are still intact.
I can provide the affected email address, repository URLs, support request numbers, and proof of ownership privately.
Thank you in advance,
Leonardo
