Hi Bitbucket team,

I have encountered an issue about the timezone when getting the current timestamp via Pipeline.

Whenever I try to execute the below command, it doesn't show the right time and date.

TZ="Asia/Manila" date

When I execute the below command, it shows the same time and date.

date

This doesn't make sense right?

Thanks!

Hi @Jan Afalla and welcome to the community!

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue with any of the latest versions of the Linux runners.

Could you please let me know:

  1. What type of runner are you using? Is it Linux Shell, Linux Docker (x86_64), or Linux Docker (arm64)?

  2. What is the version of the runner? You can see that if you expand the Runner section at the beginning of the Pipelines build log.

  3. What do these commands show if you execute them on the same machine and on the same terminal application without using the runner? Are they showing the time as expected or do you see the same time like during the Pipelines build?

Kind regards,
Theodora
