The overall size of the repository did not decrease even though I deleted the large branch

Hi, 

I opened a new branch in my repository and pushed large files to this branch. Then I deleted this branch from using Bitbucket UI. My repo size did not decrease after deleted the branch. It's still 1.3GB.  Can you help me how to reduce this size? 

This is how the repo size is when I check in my local.

Hey @Betül Karaman 

G'day.

I have triggered the Git GC on the affected repository, and the size has been reduced to 276 MB afterward.

Can you confirm this and let me know if it's all good?
