Rogue workspace I would like to delete

If I log into My Atlassian and click on Licenses, I see 1 license for Bitbucket (Cloud) along with a workspace name (let's say workspace-foo).  The details of this license says it has no payment method or address details but the subscription is "active" and has a SEN number associated with it. I believe its using a "Free" plan so I cannot submit a support request, at least that is what help informs me.

If I go into Bitbucket.org and click on "view All Workspaces",  this workspace (workspace-foo) does NOT appear in my list.

This is a rogue workspace an ex-employee created that I was not even aware of since I do not see it under "all workspaces" OR under Admin Billing Console. I only found it when I attempted to delete this user account and it told me that he is a technical contact for an active subscription and I could not delete him. I submitted a help request to help find the subscription in question and once I was granted access to that subscription, I was able to make me the primary contact and then I was able to remove his account. But this workspace/subscription is still active. I would like to delete this workspace/subscription all together so the next admin does not run into the same issue if I ever leave the company and they attempt to delete my account. Plus I like to keep the system clean and up to date.

Under My Atlassian/license I see a manage Subscription link but clicking it navigates me to Account Setting for my account and I see no way to remove it from that page.  Going back to the license page, there is an "Archive" link but that still leaves the subscription active from what I can see.

If I go to Admin Billing Console, I do not see this subscription listed (Yes I have "show free" on) so that page does not seem to help.

Any suggestions on how to remove this subscription/workspace all together without having to change its plan from free to standard just to get access to Atlassian support team to request them to do it for me?

Thank you

Hi @Bruce Jackman

Welcome to the community!

Can you check out the below steps?

Step 1- Access the workspace directly. Go to bitbucket.org/<workspace-slug> (use the actual slug from your license details). If you were granted access to the subscription, you should be able to see it this way even if it's hidden from your workspace list.

Step 2- Transfer or remove the technical contact. Since the blocker was the ex-employee being a technical contact, go to my.atlassian.com → Licenses → [that SEN] and update the technical contact to yourself or another active admin

Step 3- Delete the workspace. Once you have workspace admin rights, go to bitbucket.org/<workspace>/workspace/settings/ and look for "Delete workspace" at the bottom of the page. This only works if the workspace has no active repositories — move or delete those first if needed

Step 4 - Cancel the license. After deletion, return to my.atlassian.com and cancel the free subscription tied to that SEN so it no longer appears under your licenses.

Thank you for your reply,

Question by "<workspace-slug>" do you mean the name of the workspace that I see under the "name" column ("workspace-foo") in the license list? If so I tried that "https://bitbucket.org/workspace-foo" and that returns a 404 error.  I also accessed another workspace and then modified the URL accordingly and also got the same 404 error "https://bitbucket.org/workspace-foo/workspace/overview"

This is my root issue, I cannot figure out how to get to this workspace so I can then delete it.

As for removing the technical contact, I had already done that via the License list page. Under Licenses, I see the SEN in question, if I expand the details, I saw under Contact details the ex-team members name. I added myself and removed him so there is currently only one technical and billing contact and that is me. But this is the only place I see any information for this workspace and there is no way to delete the workspace or subscription from this area.

On the license page, I do not see any option (visible or disabled) to cancel the subscription, maybe because their is an active workspace. I do see a statement that says and I quote "You can now manage your cloud subscription in Atlassian Billing Console" but when I go to Atlassian Billing Console, this subscription does not appear, therefore I cannot manage it.
