I'm a professor at a University and I use Bitbucket to have students submit their assignments. To enable the instructors to have access, I have the students add us to their workspace.
At the end of the term, I need to have us removed from their workspace (otherwise I have too many workspaces to browse through). However, for those who don't, I would like the option of removing my self.
However, when I click on "manage," the only option I see is to delete the workspace, and when I click on Workspace Permission, and then on the bitbucket-admins-etc. link, I get the message "You need permission."
In the past, I had the option of leaving a repository, but that option (i.e., simply adding a user to a repo, and then removing oneself from said repo) seems to be no longer supported.
Any help would be appreciated.
G'day, @jeewhanchoi
Welcome to the community!
As Humashankar said, if the workspace is linked to the organization, you can no longer leave it. In this case, most of the workspace you access is connected to org, so you can't leave them unless the site/org admin removes you from the workspace.
Unfortunately, you'll need to contact the org/site admin to get yourself removed.
We have an existing feature request to allow you to leave a workspace that is connected with an organisation that I highly suggest you Vote and Watch at

Almost no workspace has the "leave" option. It only says "manage."
Who are the "site or organizational administrator?" Are they the ones who created the workspace or the system admin for Bitbucket?
What do I do if the "site or organizational administrator" for the workspace isn't responsive?

Hi @jeewhanchoi
Bitbucket no longer permits users to remove themselves from a workspace unless they're an administrator of that workspace.
Site / Organizational Administrator refers to the workspace administrator, typically the person who created the workspace.
Each workspace is independently managed, with only designated admins able to remove members.
Hope this helps!!

I have some sort of admin access, since I can delete the workspace.
However, I can't seem to remove myself from the admin list, as described above.
If I can't find a way to remove myself from the workspace (the owner of the workspace is unresponsive), I suppose the only option is to delete the workspace, and let the owner work with Bitbucket to restore the workspace, if the owner wishes it restored.
