Removing google sign-in

Hi,

So my client gave access to his repo on my gmail account. After accepting I changed my password from Atlassian and have access to all of his repos. But I still have the option to sign-in using google.

Now I would like to remove google sign-in so my questions are:

1. What would happen if I did this?

2. Would I still have access to all his repos?

3. If I sign-in again using the same gmail account, would I regain access to all his repos? (although then there would be no point in removing google sing-in)

Reason to do this is that my google sign-in uses other apps and shared with other people in the team.

Can you please clarify what you mean by removing Goggle sign-in?

The login page at https://id.atlassian.com/login always shows the option to Continue with Google, for any users whose account has a Google email.

Would you like to change the email of this Bitbucket Cloud account to a different, non-Google email?

Thanks for replying.

What I meant to say was I now have two methods to sign in

1. Directly using my gmail id (which is now used for atlassian sign in),

2. Or sign-in using my gmail account (by google sign-in; please notice the difference)

So obviously Im not asking for the removal of google sign-in, just that I want to know what would happen if I removed Atlassian from my Google account sign-in (which I can do myself from my google account permissions.)

Will my Bitbucket cloud get disassociated if I removed Atlassian from my Google permissions.  I only want to use the 1st method and using the second method should just throw an error or at best create an empty repo without pointing to any of my clients repo (I must continue to have access to my clients repo using the 1st method only)

Thank you for the clarification, I understand what you are saying.

If you remove 'Atlassian' from your Google account permissions, the association will be removed. However, it will still be possible to log in using method #2 at a later time (and if you do, then 'Atlassian' will appear again in your Google account permissions).

If the primary email of a Bitbucket account is a Google email, then an attempt to log in with Google sign-in will log you in to this account, I'm afraid there is no way to change this behavior.

No matter which method you use to log in to https://bitbucket.org/ and whether you remove 'Atlassian' from the Google account permissions or not, you will be logged in to the same account and will have access to any repos this account has access to.

Do other people in your team have the credentials of this Google account? Credential sharing is not recommended, but if, for whatever reason, you have a Google account that multiple people in your team have the credentials for, I would recommend changing the primary email of the Bitbucket Cloud account to a different email (one that only you have the credentials for, both Atlassian credentials and Google ones).
