Hello,
I am the admin of Atlassian Organization 8f1f0daa-e8a5-400d-94bd-10ec0a266459 and I need urgent help. After attempting to link our Bitbucket workspaces to our Atlassian Organization in January 2025 (following Atlassian's official email instructions), my account lost access to ALL of our Bitbucket workspaces simultaneously.
[REDACTED]
Symptoms:
- Web UI shows "Repository not found" or "No repositories" on all workspaces
- https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces shows "Join a workspace" – no workspaces listed
- Atlassian Admin → Link Bitbucket wizard shows "We have no workspaces to show yet"
- Workspace settings URLs return "Resource not found"
- Git push/pull still works via command line (token still valid)
- One colleague can still access repositories in ergoptejoomla via web, but has no workspace admin rights either
- Atlassian Community post page correctly lists all 5 workspaces under "Your apps" – confirming the workspaces exist and are associated with my account
The problem appears to be that my account was removed from all workspaces simultaneously during the January linking attempt. Nobody currently has workspace admin rights.
I am on Bitbucket Free plan and cannot submit a direct support ticket.
Could an Atlassian team member please restore my account as workspace admin for all affected workspaces, or raise a support ticket on my behalf?
Thank you very much.
Jaroslav
Hey @jana_j
Welcome to the community.
First, I’d like to address the concern you raised about losing access after linking your Bitbucket workspace to an Atlassian organization. Linking a Bitbucket workspace to an Atlassian organization does not remove access or change permissions for any accounts.
From what I can see, the account you used to post this community question does not currently have access to the workspace you mentioned. I also checked one of the workspace audit logs to confirm whether this account ever had access in the past, and there’s no record of it being invited to the workspace. In other words, this specific account has never had access to that workspace.
However, I did notice a different Bitbucket account in that workspace with a very similar profile. That account is using a different email address than the one you used here on Community. This suggests there may be some confusion between two separate accounts:
Because this is a public forum, I can’t share the exact email, but I can say it’s using a public email domain. I’d recommend checking any other email addresses you've used in the past and trying to log in with them to see if that’s the account with workspace access.
I hope this helps clarify what’s going on.
Regards,
Syahrul
Hi Syahrul,
Thank you for your response. I tried logging in with my second account (jaroslav.jana@gmail.com) but I still see "No repositories" at https://bitbucket.org/ergoptejoomla/workspace/repositories/
Could you please tell me which account has access to the workspace? Specifically — is it the account with the Gmail domain, or a different one? I want to make sure I'm trying the correct account.
Thank you
Jaroslav
