Reduce Space

Hello,

I have reduced my repository.

I’ve attached a screenshot showing the size of my repository and what it occupies on the server. Why does it take up 289 MB on my PC and 2.4 GB on the server? How can I reduce the size on the server?

I have escalated to Atlassian support.  They will be able to run garbage collection for you.

Hi @spinetes 

Often times garbage is accumulated as a result of cleanup operations - this is either removed by an automated garbage collection process (only executes once a certain threshhold is met) or via manual execution on the server-end by Atlassian staff.

I've just executed a gc which reduced the repo size from 2.4GB > 308MB.

@Ben we have the same issue in our `webclient` -- .git says ~80MB, but on a webpage it is over 650MB. Is there a way to assist on this?
