Pricing Build-Minutes

Patrick Roos

Hi!

I've several questions about the pricing of the build minutes:

  • What does '3500 min/mo' mean? Per workspace or per user in the workspace?
  • What does 'account' mean in "Build minutes per account ($10 / month for 1000 minutes)"? Is this per workspace or user in the workspace?
  • Is there a chance to get unlimited build minutes in a workspace? What is the approximate pricing for a user (standard | premium)?

Thanks for your answer.

Regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

What does '3500 min/mo' mean? Per workspace or per user in the workspace?

This is 3500 minutes per month, per workspace. This includes builds minutes for Pipelines in all repositories owned by the workspace.

What does 'account' mean in "Build minutes per account ($10 / month for 1000 minutes)"? Is this per workspace or user in the workspace?

This actually means per workspace. Billing plans are now associated with a workspace.

The word 'account' is there because in the past (before we introduced workspaces), a billing plan used to be associated with an account.

We have raised a request with the appropriate team to change the word in the website, as this can be confusing.

Is there a chance to get unlimited build minutes in a workspace? What is the approximate pricing for a user (standard | premium)?

This is possible with all plans.

If a workspace is on Standard or Premium plan, when the build minutes of the plan are exceeded, 1,000 additional build minutes are added (they can be used in the current billing cycle only) for $10. If those are also exceeded, the same thing happens.

If a workspace is on the Free plan, you can do the following:

  1. Go to this workspace's Settings > Plan details
  2. Select Upgrade plan
  3. In the new page that opens, find and select the link Add Overage
  4. Confirm the change and you will then be asked to enter billing details

If you don't exceed the 50 build minutes per month that come with the Free plan, we won't charge you. If you exceed them, then 1,000 additional build minutes will get added for the current billing cycle, for $10.

I hope this helps, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

Kind regards,
Theodora
