Pipeline stuck in progress with no logs

Hello Bitbucket Support Team,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Bitbucket Pipelines where builds are getting stuck in an “In Progress” state, but no logs are generated and the step never actually starts.

This is unexpected because the same pipeline was working correctly a few hours ago — it was successfully deploying my Node.js application to my server using SSH, rsync, and PM2 without any issues.

Here are the details of the problem:

  • Pipelines are triggered normally on push to the main branch
  • The status shows “In Progress”, but logs do not appear
  • The step does not seem to start execution at all
  • Even a minimal test pipeline (just echo commands) does not run
  • Previous pipelines are all completed (success/failed), none are currently running
  • Pipeline minutes are available (only ~11 minutes used)

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:

  • Removed deployment configuration
  • Simplified the pipeline to a basic echo command
  • Re-ran pipelines manually
  • Cancelled all previous pipelines
  • Pushed new commits (including empty commits)
  • Tried different Docker images

Despite all this, the issue persists.

Could you please check if there is any problem with runner allocation, queueing, or my workspace configuration? It seems like the pipeline execution environment is not being initialized.

I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Aatif Jariwala
