As beginner in Atlassian service usage - if I don't take a Guard plan - what I will lose? My needs are Bitbucket and Jira, I'm going to migrate my code from a third-party owned Bitbucket to my own one

You can compare the Bitbucket Cloud plans here.

As far as I understand, you can add Guard to any Bitbucket plans, it is an extra option. Which means that you will get the Guard features if you add this extra.

If you are a small team (are you?), I don't think you would want Guard. That is positioned more towards the Enterprise.
