I followed the steps to complete the 2FA and it says to check my email to complete the enabling process. However, I am not receiving any emails from BitBucket in any folder of my email.

Hey Jason,

Sometimes it takes a few minutes. Definitely check your junk or spam folder.

If you have access to your email server, you may want to check there or reach out to IT to see if the email was blocked or rejected.

Hello @jason_teoh

@Jordi Jaquez Jordi’s on the right track, but I’d definitely have your mail admin dig through the mail gateway logs next. You need to see if the emails are being stopped before they even hit your inbox.

Ask them to hunt for any traffic from noreply@am.atlassian.com or @id.atlassian.net. You'll want to confirm if the mail was quarantined or if a security filter is blocking Atlassian’s domains. If your admin sees absolutely nothing reaching your servers, you might be on Atlassian’s "suppression list." This happens if a previous email bounced, and Atlassian stops trying to send to you to protect their mail reputation.

Since Bitbucket isn’t reporting any outages today, May 6, 2026, it's likely an account-specific block. If the logs are empty, you'll need to reach out to Atlassian Support to have them manually clear your email from that suppression list.
