[Noob Question] How to create an issue - no "Create Issue" button

Mike Bright February 5, 2019

I came across a problem with the Python openpyxl module at

https://bitbucket.org/openpyxl/openpyxl

So I'd like to open an issue against that repo but I don't see how.

According to the page at

    https://confluence.atlassian.com/get-started-with-bitbucket/create-an-issue-861185315.html

I should see a "Create Issue" button on the "Issues" page ... seems logical ... but it isn't there.

Thanks for any enlightenment

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

You do not see the Create Issue button because the owner/admin of the repository has set the Issue Tracker to be private.

Hi Mikael, thanks for your reply.

So in that case what is best practice then for providing feedback on the code?

Thx

According to their documentation is says to contact one of the developers, but I couldn't find how. So your best bet would be to go to the google group and post your question there, http://groups.google.com/group/openpyxl-users

OK, thanks a lot.  I'll post a comment there.
