I just wanted to check what is the ram required for installing stash for 1000-1500 users as per Atlassian's recommendation. And what should be the heap memory set.

Hi @chandrasekhar k,

The Supported platforms page is the starting point for the CPU and memory requirements of the server.

Is this a Data Center (clustered/multi node) or a single node installation?

If Elasticsearch is running on the same node, then we need to add another 1 GB for this process to run.

Note: Elasticsearch has to be installed on a remote server in case of a Data Center setup.

Regarding Heap Size, the defaults provided with the installation package (Xmx=1GB in the most recent versions) are enough for a busy instance.

Which version are you installing?

The Scaling Bitbucket Server page shared by @Yogesh Mude (thank you!) is for sure relevant, especially when considering the scaling.
