We are currently managing repository in surround scm and planning to migrate all the repository with history to bitbucket.

Do anyone have experience in it?

Hi Ashok,

First of all let me start by saying that I'm not familiar with Surround SCM, but I'm going to do my best to help you out with this. I've done some research but I wasn't able to find much information about it, so I'll need your cooperation :)

Before you move to Bitbucket, your code will need to be using either Git or Mercurial. I found this thread that might help you get started with that.

Then, to get started with Bitbucket Server, I'd recommend you to follow the tutorial Get started with Bitbucket Server.

Regarding the history of your code, if you manage to keep it during the conversion from Surround SCM to Git or Mercurial, you'll be able to import it into Bitbucket too.

Hope that helps, Ashok! Let us know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Ana
