Lost all repositories, can't add my key to my account

Oldřich Kučina October 9, 2023

Hi, I have lost all my repositories in several accounts. Also I can see 2 workspaces in one of the accounts, but every workspace is empty. Also I had a custom domain email, which I converted to my main google account (in bitbucket settings, little while ago), but unfortunatelly now i can't see any repositories in any account nor workspace. And can't login to old email with custom domain (does not exists).

I am also unable to add my ssh key, it says "Someone has already added that SSH key". Also I have two unwanted accounts due to google aliases, one with dot in my name and one without. I would prefer one account, but now i am scared to delete any of that, I dont want to loose all my repos. I can still access some of the repositories by the APP password.

Is there any way to get support from anyone in bibucket to merge my accounts and get my repos back?

G'day @Oldřich Kučina

Typically, this issue occurs when you use a different email address to log in to your old account and then log in with an alias email, inadvertently creating a new account.

Consequently, you may no longer see the old repository. To resolve this, you'll need to determine the old email address you used to log in to Bitbucket. You can do this by referring to our knowledge base article titled 'Email address transferred to a new account.'

Regarding the SSH keys, it appears they have already been added to an existing Bitbucket account, making it impossible to add them again. I suspect that it's added to your old account, so once you figure out a way to log in to your old account you can remove the keys. Otherwise, you need to regenerate a new SSH key.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, but thats not my problem. I changed my email address in my account to a new email while ago, but the repositories from that account can't be seen when i log in with a new email. I cant see the repos, shared workspaces, etc. But unfortunatelly, when i use old email address, bitbucket wants me to create new account, it says "Sign up to continue". I can't even add this old email as alias in any of my accounts, it says "info@ru**y.c* is already in use by another user." So i am blocked there, since i can't login via my old email address, I can't add it as alias, and i don't see my repositories. But .. I can access old shared workspace in Trello, which I can see properly when i log in with new email.

Hey @Oldřich Kučina

Interesting, could you please try the following steps:

  1. Log in with your new email address.
  2. Navigate to the top right corner of your avatar.
  3. Click on 'All workspace.'
  4. Check if you are able to view all your workspaces.

If you can't see all your workspaces using this method, please try accessing them directly from the following URL

https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/

If that doesn't work, it's likely that the workspace or repository you're trying to access is linked with a different Bitbucket account. If that's the case, I may need more information to locate it.

Please let me know how it goes with the above steps first.

Syahrul

Thanks, i have already been there, still the same - cant see all the workspaces and i have ZERO repositories out of many. The old account email was info@****y.** (which i already discontinued (disconnected the google mail services, but i am still owner of the domain). Maybe you can see my work there, and fix the mail migration to my new email? (as i said, i changed mail in the old account). Thanks for your help..
