I noticed that the system links my Jira issue with the pull request when I include the Jira issue key in the pull request on the pull request creation. However, when I include the Jira issue key in the pull request when I edit the pull request, the linking does not work.

Hi, @Shaden Alsbaihin

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

I tested this behavior on a personal repository, but the link between the Jira issue key and my repo works when I add it when editing the Pull Request as well. In this case, could you please confirm the following information, so we can further investigate this issue?

  • What is the browser you are using? Is it up to date?

  • You mentioned it works when you add it during the PR creating. Could you please confirm if you are able to link the same Jira issue key when creating a PR? I’m asking this to check if this is not related to a specific Jira issue.

  • Is this happening to other users as well?

Thank you for the additional information.

Kind regards,
Caroline
