Hi,

We have BitBucket Server 5.5.5 installed in our lab environment for testing, it has an evaluation license which allows 5 users for free without expiration.

When attempting to upgrade to any of the 8.0 versions, even the ones below 8.14, the license gets expired and gets transformed into "Bitbucket (Data Center): Evaluation" rather than "Bitbucket (Server): Evaluation".

We are just using BitBucket in a testing lab environment to simulate a customer's environment, and want to upgrade to v8.9.7 for the same purpose while keeping our existing license, and not really interested in the Data Center license.

How can we upgrade without license getting transformed to "Data Center"?

The Server platform is being retired (EOS), and in particular for Bitbucket, 8.14 was the last release available for Server!

Newer versions are Data Center only, as suggested by the download list:

I already tried installing v8.9.7, but the license gets transformed to Data Center.

Tried the Docker container and standalone on Linux.
