License Use for Jira User in BitBucket Server

Jared Landress
December 23, 2015

We use JIRA for both our development team and our tech support team. We also use Stash (Now upgraded to bitbucket) for our development team.

The problem is that users on the tech support team are using up stash licenses. Is there any way to stop this? besides disconnecting Bitbucket from our JIRA directory?

Hi Jared,

Licensed users in Bitbucket Server are defined by the Global Permissions, so any users with at least a Stash User permission, and also any users under the groups with at least a Stash User permission will count against your license. Please check your licensed users and groups at Bitbucket Administration > Global Permissions in order to confirm only users and groups you wish are properly licensed.

In addition, you may refer to this document to check exactly what users are counting against your license.

Regards,

Gustavo Refosco
