We are integrating git with Jira and have few queries before start the same.

- Is there anyway person login to JIRA can modify the code base in GIT?

- Does this integration open for any security risk for the code base?

Hi Ankur, welcome to Community!

When you say you're integrating Git with Jira, you mean Bitbucket and Jira?

The person logged to Jira will only be able to access the code in Bitbucket if they have access to it in Bitbucket. If they do, it will depend on the kind of permissions they have to be able to modify it or not; only if they have write permissions in Bitbucket they'll be able to modify it. To learn more about that, you can read Organize groups for your repositories.

For more info about the integration and what it means, you can visit Connect Bitbucket Cloud to Jira Cloud.

Let us know if you have any other questions and we'll be happy to help!

Kind regards,

Ana
