Is there anyway to access repository statistics?

I'm working on developing an app that would allow yout to generate graphs and access others statistics about your repositories, I would like to develope this based on bitbucket since it's my main repository hosting service.

Is there anyway to access this statistics through an API?? I'm looking to achieve something similar to what github has on their graphs page.

I'm not sure if this answer helps you; but just to let you know that BitBucket allows you to integrate Google Analytics with your BitBucket. This way, you may collect all the access information, just like we do for our blogs and websites.

I was looking more into git statics/metrics (number of commits, lines of code, etc) rather than visitor statics.
