Is there a way to make the PR description become the commit message?

Hi,

The merge strategy for my repo is "Squash". 

Since I squash a number of commits, the commit message results in a log of all commits which is usually long and not helpful.

I'd like to have the description of the PR become the commit message.

I tried looking for a feature that will help me achieve this, but didn't find any.

I'd appreciate your input on this as well as other suggestions to solve my problem,

Unfortunately, this is not currently possible in Bitbucket. Do you mind filing a feature request in our public issue tracker so that we know about your use case? You'll get notified when we make any updates to that request then.
