Some good news for you: the JSON schema for bitbucket-pipelines.yml configuration file is now available at https://api.bitbucket.org/schemas/pipelines-configuration

Just in case, the plugins I mentioned in my original response, are either using this schema already, or will start using it soon.

Hello @Michiel,

Unfortunately, there's no official schema at the moment, as in no schema that Pipelines would actually use to validate the configuration file.

However, there're at least two attempts to create such schema for code editors with a plan to eventually merge them into one:

this plugin for VS Code bundles this JSON schema
this plugin for IntelliJ IDEs bundles this JSON schema (disclaimer: I'm the maintainer of this plugin)
