Is the repository history (commits&branches) transferred when transfer repository to another account

I'm trying to transfer our repository from the owner account to my account which  has "admin" role.

my concern is , if I transfer the repository to my account, what will happened to "history" I mean all of our "commits & branches"? are they going to be transferred even if it's very old or we will lose it?

Git will maintain it's history.
