Is it true that there is no sync between Bitbucket issues and Jira issues, still?

Bitbucket's issue system is unusable. I create a number of issues in Bitbucket and would like to have those issues auto-populate within a project in Jira but all I can find are a number of documents from years ago that speak to this feature not being available.
Can issues created within Bitbucket be automatically carried into Jira for prioritization and management?
