My team and I would like to write some plugins for BitBucket. I was able to find resources about JIRA and Confluence add-ons. Is it possible to write BitBucket add-ons?

We have a full-featured API available at our documentation. For a great example of the kind of thing possible with it, take a look at our DVCS connector for JIRA.

This is great, thanks! Am I able to add UI elements on Bitbucket as I am in JIRA? (for instance, insert menus or buttons on the code review page)

This isn't possible yet, but if you'd be interested in trialling something like this in the future, please drop me a line at tim@atlassian.com
