In pull requests, how does bitbucket determine my last review?

In the diff view of a bitbucket pull request, it is now possible to see the changes since I last reviewed the pull request. That is a very nice idea, but what does bitbucket consider as my last review?

- I opened a file since the last commit

- I opened all files since the last commit

- I marked a result (approved, needs work)

- Something else?

This is critical to be able to determine if I can use this relatively new bitbucket improvement.
