Just tried to import a github project of my own. Had this error :

  1. 20:44:00 git import for: https://github.com/WindSheep/student_abstractvm.git
  2. 20:44:00 Remote Git clone failed: <type 'exceptions.RuntimeError'>: maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object

 

In my history it looks like this right after :

WindSheep/student_abstractvm Repository deleted

I am no longer able to reproduce this error (importing from https://bitbucket.org/repo/import). It works fine now. I guess it was fixed shortly after. Thank you for caring !

I am unable to reproduce this. Did you get any error information on the page? Or if you can reproduce the error, can you take a screenshot and email that to us at support@bitbucket.org?

Looks like you're on Bitbucket Cloud, not Server, correct?
