Hi,
basically I can’t access the content in my Bitbucket account because I haven’t received the email with the verification code. It’s frustrating to think I’ve lost years’ worth of work. Perhaps my email account has been disabled?
Thanks in advance
Hi @Paco Gamero
I can see that the account has not been logged into since 2023. I have re-activated it (as it was marked dormant) - can you try to login again?
If you're still told that you need to provide a verification code, unfortunately - there is nothing further that we can do. OTP validation is triggered upon a new device login/geolocation and is a mandatory security requirement to protect user generated content. This requires email access to complete and cannot be bypassed.
If you can no longer access the email account, you'll need to push any local backups you may have to your new workspace.
Please note that this is a public forum - I have redacted the email address you've shared to protect your privacy.
Kind Regard,
- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
Hi Ben, unfortunately, I still haven’t received the verification email.
Thanks a lot for your reply and for removing my email address.
Best regards

Hi @Paco Gamero
May I know if you have access to the email account inbox? If so, you should have received the verification email to that inbox - I've made sure you are not on our email suppression list.
Cheers!

Hi Ben,
Yes, I can access my email account inbox, but I’m not receiving anything. Just in case it’s a problem on my side, I’ll ask the IT administrator when he gets back from his holiday.
Have a nice summer, thanks.

Hi @Paco Gamero
I'd suggest asking your IT admin to whitelist the following accounts/IP's as per our documentation:
noreply+XXXXXX@id.atlassian.net
no-reply@atlassian.com
noreply@mailer.atlassian.com
notifications-noreply@bitbucket.org
216.221.175.128/25
76.223.147.128/25
Hopefully this helps.
Cheers!

Hello @Paco Gamero
Your email probably ended up on the surpression list from Atlassian's side. I've requested their support. They will be in touch in 2-3 business days.

Hi Nikola, but the account I used to write my question works perfectly. The email with verification issues is [REDACTED]
Thanks to answer :)
