I'm an ordinary Bitbucket user, without administrator privileges. I'm trying to configure Push Email Notifier (add Velocity templates). But I often see a message: "An error occured while processing the request. Check the server logs for more information".

But I can't find "Server logs" reference on Bitbucket web page. How can I see server logs?

Hi @Volodymyr Ivashko,

if you use Bitbucket Cloud, the only way to get the actual logs is to contact Atlassian. Logs are sent to a folder on the file system where Bitbucket is installed. For Cloud that would be in Atlassian’s servers.

Roman.

Thank you for the answer, Roman.

I understand, that if we have our own Bitbacket server, I need to ask our own Bitbacket administrator to give me access to the log or send it to me.

It is rather inconvenient. It is much better, to my mind, to show errors, caused by some user, to the user. I think, Bitbacket software has to be improved for this case.

Best regards,

Volodymyr Ivashko
