We have set up our Stash instance to use the user directory from Jira. For testing purposes, we would like to create new users in Jira via the REST interface and perform some Jira/Stash tests with these users. However I have not found any way how to force a synchronization of the user directory from Jira to Stash from the command line or via the REST interface. Only with a forced sync our test script can be sure, that the users created in Jira via REST are available in Stash as well.

Is there any way besides waiting for the configured amount of time how to be sure, that newly created Jira users are visible in Stash?

Not without coding I believe. You can expose the sync functionality in Stash via a REST plugin module and invoke that from your script.
