Hello, I am trying to figure out something on my Bitbucket account so I can give access to a new development team.
When I log into our account and go to People, it shows I have 5 members. One of the Members that is showing is an older developer, and I see no way to remove them.
Logically, it seemed like it would be under Manage Users. But when I go to this tab, it shows I only have 3 active users under the User groups, and the Member I wish to remove is not even listed here. Users seem to be removed from this screen, but Users do not appear to equal Members (under People it shows I have 5 members, under Users it shows I have 3). I am not a developer, so I am not a regular user of BB- I am baffled!
Does anyone know how to remove the members I no longer want to give access to? And what is the difference between Members and Users? Thanks so much for your help!
Hi Laurin,
I have taken a look at your workspace and can see that there are 5 users, 3 of these users are present in user groups - so this may be why you aren't seeing the other two.
The full list of users in your repository are present in Workspace Settings > User Directory.
To remove users from your workspace, I would suggest following our article below:
Hopefully this is helpful, please let me know if you encounter any issues removing those users.
Cheers!

I have a similar issue. The linked article shows options to delete users on that page, but I do not have options to delete users on that page. How can I get those buttons to appear?

I can see that you are using the new user management experience, so users are managed via Atlassian Admin rather than via the Bitbucket Cloud UI.

Hello Ben,
Thank you for the response. It worked and I was able to remove users.
Thank you!

Hi @Ben ,
I wanted to confirm if we remove a user from the workspace, what information is also removed for that user? Will all the repos they created be removed as well?

Removing a user from a workspace will only remove their access, it will not remove any repositories/commits/metadata associated with their account.
Cheers!
