Hello Atlassian Community,
I'm currently using Bitbucket Pipelines to automate CI/CD processes, and I have a question regarding the pipeline description that appears on the Pipelines page.
By default, Bitbucket shows the last commit message as the description for each pipeline run. However, in our workflow, we would like to display a custom description for each pipeline run on the Pipelines page (e.g., instead of just showing the last commit message, we want to display a meaningful description such as "Deployment to Staging" or "Unit Tests").
Is there a way to configure the Bitbucket Pipelines YAML file or use any other method to customize the description shown on the Pipelines page?
Thank you in advance for your help and insights!
Hi Mohammad and welcome to the community!
I'm afraid that this is not possible at the moment. We have a feature request for what you are asking in our issue tracker:
I suggest adding your vote to that feature request (by selecting the Vote for this issue link) as the number of votes helps the product managers better understand the demand for new features. You are more than welcome to leave feedback, and you can also add yourself as a watcher (by selecting the Start watching this issue link) if you'd like to be notified via email on updates.
Implementation of new features is done as per our policy here and any updates will be posted in the feature request.
Kind regards,
Theodora
