How do you silence the Bitbucket bot?

I am experiencing an issue similar to the following:

I registered the Bitbucket Cloud app to our team's private channel to get updates about specific repositories. Interestingly enough, the app is listed under "Members" and not "Apps" for the private channel. After configuring particular repositories with /bitbucket login, /bitbucket connect <repository_url>, Bitbucket repository events are being updated as expected.

However, the bitbucket bot sends me a direct message AND a private channel message anytime I issue /bitbucket commands in the private channel. The direct message I get from the bot is "I can send repository notifications directly to you. Type in `help` and I'll show you what I can do."

I don't want the message above to come up every time that I run a /bitbucket in a channel that has the app registered.
