How do I fix an "Unable to append to" error when pushing?

I am attempting to push back to a repository on bit bucket and the error i receive is the following:

error: Unable to append to ./logs/refs/heads/hotfix/20150225_am_emr62: Permission denied

 

I had assumed this may be a local file system error, but this file has full write permissions for my user and i attempted to execute a git push while in sudo mode.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

Sounds more like a permission error on the remote. You might try https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/11 if you don't get a good answer here.
