How can I migrate a legacy workspace to my new organization

I have an older Bitbucket workspace named hbsjaxxx-canary that was created back in 2023. I accidentally deleted a third-party App that was being used, so I needed to re-install that App. When I tried to do that, I was blocked with the following error, "You can only install for a team. You must be an admin for a team to install [appname]. Create a team or contact your team admin to begin installation."

After some research, I learned that I needed to create an organization, so I did so in the same account, and subsequently created a new Bitbucket workspace named cccanary within that organization. At this point, I was able to install a new third-party App into this workspace which is great, but I really need the old workspace to have this app. Is there any way to migrate the old workspace so it's owned by the organization?

Alternatively, is there a way for an Admin to undelete an App from a workspace?

Hi @hbsjaxxx-canary

Some integrations are not compatible with legacy (personal) workspaces, hence why you're receiving the error message. Unfortunately, it's not possible to undelete an app once deleted.

The good news is that we are currently in the process of migrating existing personal workspaces to team workspaces (which support all apps/integrations) - which would allow you to then install the app again.

I will keep you posted as to when this is completed.

Cheers!

Hi @hbsjaxxx-canary

This is still pending - there was an issue encountered during migration so this has delayed the rest of migrations from taking place until it's resolved.

I will share more updates as they become available.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi @hbsjaxxx-canary

Thank you for your continued patience whilst our engineering team resolved issues related to the migration.

I can confirm that your workspace has been successfully converted to a team workspace, so you should be able to re-install that app now.

May you please check this for me?

Cheers!
