How can I get bitbucket avatars to show in Firefox

In the Bitbucket (pull requests specifically, but everwhere) in the latest Firefox, avatars/profile pictures just show as grey placeholders. They display fine in Chrome. I've disabled all ad-blockers and even turned off Firefox's tracking protection, but no luck.

It looks like it's related to DNS over HTTPS setting in firefox. When I disable that (or exclude bitbucket.org via network.trr.excludedDomains in about:config) profile pictures show properly.
