It is somewhat frustrating as a new user that for almost every issue I come across, I can find an existing Jira issue documenting the problem which has just been sitting for years with no signs of activity. How active is improvement to Bitbucket Cloud?
Hi @Thomas Nabelek
Yes, Bitbucket Cloud is actively maintained and improved, with continuous updates to APIs, security, and integrations. However, many public Jira issues appear stagnant because Atlassian prioritizes internal development and platform-wide improvements over individual user requests. The product uses a rolling release model, so changes are shipped continuously rather than in major versions. To track real updates, the Bitbucket Cloud changelog and Atlassian release notes are the most reliable sources.

Thanks for the links. One of the Jira issues I'm looking at is now 10 years old and has 172 votes. I would consider that to be more than an "individual user request." There might be less frustration if timeline and roadmap had more transparency.
