Granting access by a nickname

Hi!

I have a problem granting acess to a repository to users. I am searching for a user by a nicknam but I am failing to find any user. It only works when searching by an email. 

What could be wrong? How can I fix it?

Hello Anastasiia and welcome to the Community!

When adding a user to Bitbucket cloud you should be able to use the user's username along with their email address.

To understand a bit more about what's going on or having an issue, could you please share what steps you’re taking to add the user (Are you using the web interface vs the REST API?)? This will allow us to test to see if this is an isolated issue or a different issue.
