I am just investigating Git and wonder which gui is best for windows. We are going to switch from subversion over to git.

My 2 favourites are Sourcetree and TortoiseGit. Sourcetree is great for managing repositories as a stand alone app while TortoiseGit integrates nicely with Windows Explorer.
Atlassian has a client for Windows called Sourcetree. It supports some extended integration with Bitbucket, which is convenient if you're using that. I haven't really tried any other guis.
