Get json file content from bitbucket

I'm trying to get the content of a public repo bitbucket json file via a url call from a confluence macro called advanced tables. The macro works and I get mutated/unusable json from the url/browse/filename but get a 500 error for the url/raw/filename.
Any idea you have for where to look would be very helpful
