I found this question which sort of answered my question. However, the 1.0 has been deprecated, and I can't seem to find an alternative in 2.0. Am I missing something? Is this possible anymore?

If I got this right you want an API endpoint to get a list of files in a commit? If yes, I believe this API 2.0 should be what you are looking for:
