Does everyone in my shared repository get notifications for changes?

My cousin and my professor has access to my repository. My cousin helped me edit an assignment and I committed it. They are not in a group on my repository.

I got an email notification of the pull request. However, would my professor be notified as well?? I don't want my professor to know.

Hello,

Only reviewers of a pull request will get a notification that the pull request is created. If your professor is not a reviewer, then a notification will not be sent.
