Does bitbucket support .md rendering for non-readme files?

I'm using the Lightweight Architecture Decision Records pattern and am checking adrs with a .md extension written using markdown into my bitbucket repos.  They are not rendering correctly in the browser when previewing the files.  Can this be configured?  If not - might I suggest this feature as the ADR pattern will be becoming more prevalent with the Tech Radar endorsement.

Hi, we 've done some testing and figured out it should work, Markdown should be rendered correctly. Can you give us more information so we can help you troubleshoot this issue?:

  1. Are you using Bitbucket Server or Cloud?
  2. Can you send un an example of the code you're using?
  3. Can you send us a screenshot of how it looks in the web UI?
