Does Bitbucket Server store repos in database?

Hi,

I'm evaluating Bitbucket and I'm new to Git and have one question:

does Bitbucket server store the repos source code in the Bitbucket database (like TFS does) or just file system?

Thanks.

Bitbucket stores the git repositories on the file system. It uses the database for persisting repository metadata such as the repository name, permissions, settings, etc.

As documented here https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/bitbucket-server-home-directory-776640890.html you will see that your source code is stored on the file system. The database is used to manage accounts/permissions etc.
