Do we need to have a seperate db for subversion ALM

Actually I am trying to configure Subversion ALM with SVN, as per configuration instruction I see like we need to configure a separate DB to link Subversion ALM. Is that required.?

Can anybody share the step by step instruction on how to setup Subversion ALM with SVN.

No, the database is automatically created and managed by the plugin.
