My guess is that you've enabled "include sub-tasks" in the configuration of the gadget.

This is actually a bug in the gadget - you don't calculate velocity on non-sprint items such as sub-tasks, so it shouldn't really have the option to do it.  (Equally, you shouldn't be putting sprint estimates on non-sprint items)
