Data residency for bitbucket?

pavanraga September 17, 2023

Hi,

we are currently on bitbucket DC and would like a integrated CI/CD like bitbucket pipelines.

1. Would like to know if bitbucket pipelines on self hosted runners would be supported on DC version anytime soon?

2. Support for data residency for bitbucket cloud in singapore?

thanks

G'day @pavanraga

I'm unsure if I got your first questions, but Runner is only for Bitbucket cloud. However, if you are looking for a DC CI/CD version, then I believe Bamboo CI/CD is what you are probably looking for.

As for Data residency in Bitbucket cloud, it is hosted on AWS servers in the US. We don't have data residency capabilities at this time. However, it's on our radar for 2025. Watch out for updates on our public roadmap.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the data residency requirement seems low priority. when i saw last year it was mentioned as 2024 roadmap now its 2025.

Hi @pavanraga

You are right, our product lead in the existing feature request posted an update earlier this year at:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-20038

This is on our roadmap but due to other dependencies we don't anticipate working on this until next year.

https://www.atlassian.com/wac/roadmap/cloud/data-residency-for-bitbucket?search=data%20resi&p=d8d3159d-78

I highly suggest watching the feature request for now to receive any updates we have in the future at this moment.
