Custom Commit message

I wanted to enforce the following format in the commit message can yopu pleaes help on how to do it

JIRA: PROJ-123123

Verison: 1.1.2

Also  Check the status of JIRA  it should be in progress.

should be triggered on push or merge

decline the push or commit if

PROJ-123123  is not in progress and if its a child ticket parent ticket should alos be in progress

@Siva Abbannagari The Better Commit Policy app does exactly what you look for on the Data Center platform for many years, and we are already working on its Cloud version.

All the features you mention (and more) will be supported on Cloud!

We provide Flowie, a Bitbucket cloud app for automating workflow that supports enforcing a commit policy, allowing you to enforce the format of the message using a regex, among other things. Currently, it doesn't check against JIRA/status, but we are going to add a rule for that soon!

You would to create pre-receive hooks in order to enforce the commit message format, or there are apps in the Marketplace that can enforce the format and check the status of the associated Jira issue.
