Copy projects and repositories to a different account

Antony Bineesh Thomas April 3, 2019

Hi,

I had created my bibucket access at least two years back. But only yesterday we have realised that the account we have been using is not the right one.

Is there a way to copy all of the team/project/repositories along with the users into a different account? or is there something like merge?

We have nearly 100 repositories, and we can not loose the history

Hi Antony!

What do you mean your account wasn't the right one? Do you need a different user or email address?

Copying teams (I think you might be referring to groups?), projects, and repositories in bulk is not possible. Repositories will need to be transferred one by one, projects and groups will need to be recreated. Merging bitbucket account is currently not possible but there's a Feature request here. You can vote for it to show your interest.

Best regards,

Ana

Hi Ana,

Thanks for your response. I had an atlassian account @ https://harpercollinsuk.atlassian.net with my organisatoins email address login name. Later client introduced btbucket. Where I was directed to create the account with my google ID. I has used the same invitation, that was sent by client. Now I have a lot of groups/projects/repositories in my account with google login. And I am now directed to move all of them into the account with the organisations email.

if there is no direct route, Is there a work around ? Else life will be difficult for me
